Mallika Stubbs LinkedIN
Mallika Stubbs is a veteran educator dedicated to empowering others through coaching. For more than 20 years, she has worked with diverse groups of adult learners in South Carolina. Mallika is an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified coach with a proven track record of increasing positive outcomes and supporting organizations on their transformation journey by providing 1:1, focused coaching for adults.
Her passion includes a focus on marginalized people and communities, to ensure they feel seen, supported, and heard while achieving their personal and professional goals. Her doctoral work focuses on the transformational coaching model provided to principals and teacher leaders as job-embedded professional development.
Dr. Hope Dugan LinkedIN
Hope is a coach, digital learning innovator, and educator with over 25 years of experience as a senior leader supporting schools and districts. Her passion is empowering educators to solve complex problems through a collaborative approach, innovative thinking, and evidence-based practices.
Hope holds a doctorate in education leadership with a focus on digital learning. She is an adjunct professor at Wingate University and a William C. Friday Human Relations Fellow. She also provides support in digital learning research, data-driven instruction, and assessment and evaluation of online, blended, and personalized programs.
Adriane Johnson LinkedIN
Adriane M. Johnson has been an mentor, educator, and children’s advocate for more than 25 years. Her passion for education has led her to create programs dedicated to working with children and their families to ensure they are supported in reaching their maximum potential.
Adriane has trained hundreds of educators and leaders in schools across the state and nation in her work with the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET). She has spent the bulk of her career supporting Title I Schools.
Ms. Johnson has served as Instructional Coach, Master Teacher, Regional Master Teacher and currently as a Lead Transformation Coach for the SC Dept of Education.
Dr. BeaAtrice Mazyck LinkedIN
Dr. Mazyck is a powerful leadership presence in the workplace and uses her positive attitude, humor, and tireless energy to encourage everyone to work together cohesively to achieve better results.
As a Lead Transformation Coach with a decade of successful leadership coaching, serving four years as a Transformation Coach, Bea actively engages in knowledge sharing behaviors to contribute to the growth and development of collective efficacy in the workplace.
A strong believer in diversity, equity, and inclusion, she works to create a positive collaborative environment that fosters success through empowerment.
Our Guest Speakers
Dr. Phil Flynn
Dr. Flynn earned a BA in History in 1972, MEd in Social Studies in 1975, Ed Specialist Admin in 1992, Ph.D. Ed leadership 2000. Phil earned all of his degrees at USC.
One of a cadre of principals trained by the SDE to mentor, coach, and assess prospective principals 1983-2003.He began teaching in 1973 and has been a principal at all elementary, middle, and high levels from 1978-2003.
Dr. Flynn held the title of Assistant/Deputy Superintendent from 2003-2008. He became the Virtual Charter School high school principal from 2009-2018. In 2019 he became an OST Transformation Coach.
Dr. Flynn is married with three children and five grandchildren. He is a lifelong reader, collector of comic books and baseball cards.
Angela Bozeman
Angela Bozeman has served as a TC for OST since August 2021. Currently, she serves as a TC for 2 Virtual charter schools. She has 33 years of educational experience which includes 28 years of educational administration.
She is an experienced principal with a demonstrated history of working in primary/secondary education. Skilled in Classroom Management, Lesson Planning, Educational Technology, Differentiated Instruction, and Curriculum Development.
She holds a Master of Education - MEd focused in Educational Administration and Supervision; Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Winthrop University.
Dawn Patterson
Dawn Patterson is completing her 28th year in education. A proud Clemson graduate, Dawn began her career as a special education teacher.
She spent 19 years teaching resource and advocating for students with special needs in grades 5-12. She spent 6 years as a high school assistant principal, CTE Director and elementary assistant principal.
Dawn has been with the SCDE as a Transformation Coach since the fall of 2020.
Dawn loves to travel, especially to warm tropical places where she and her husband can go scuba diving to explore under the sea!
